CLEP Test Dates & Information

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States, helping students of all ages earn college degrees faster by obtaining college credit for what they already know. By receiving a passing score, you can earn from 3 to 12 college credits toward your college degree for each CLEP  Test you take, depending on the exam subject.

Contact the Institution you are obtaining your degree from to inquire if they accept CLEP credits.  UMF does not.

CLEP Tests are administered throughout the year by the University of Maine at Farmington's, Center for Human Development, Testing ServicesTo schedule a test call (207) 778-7666.  If you are unable to take a CLEP test on one of the scheduled dates, other arrangements may be made by contacting Testing Services, at (207)-778-7666.
